Seeing in the Water
When it comes to water sports, peripheral vision is of the utmost importance. In activities like diving, water skiing, water volleyball, wakeboarding, surfing, for instance, there isn't any space or time to make mistakes due to the lack of peripheral vision. Spectacles, in many cases, are more of a hassle than an aid for water sports. Contact lenses also provide superior depth perception - something which is essential for sports and snorkeling. More than 5 out of 10 of us are not lucky enough to have 20/20 vision. But that shouldn't stop you from having all the fun that your perfect-vision counterparts have, even in the water. Soft contact lenses are an option if you wish to participate in water sports where your head (and eyes) stay above the water. This includes wakeboarding, kayaking, and sailing. Contact lenses such as 1•DAY ACUVUE® TruEye® are a good option, for you to enjoy these activities.
